Lesson 5
Using this site
Every piece page has the same tools:
- Speed — slow the playback down without changing the pitch.
- Ison — turn the player's drone on or off.
- Ison mp3 — use a recorded drone loop instead, when recordings are installed.
- Volume — set the level of the recorded drone.
- Practice — mark a passage and repeat it.
- Hide auxiliary elements — hide elements that sound but are not part of the printed notation.
- Colour by note — colour each neume by its pitch.
- Αα / Aa — show the hymn text in Greek or in Greeklish (Latin letters).
The banner at the top of every piece warns that the transcription is an automatic draft. It has not been checked by a chanter.
If you are a chanter, use the declaration page once. Then a Report a problem panel appears on every piece: you can report a wrong note, rhythm, sign, lyric or octave, or mark a piece as reviewed and correct. Reports are self-declared; they are not an official verification.
